Zion National Park Utah!!!
Utah offers incredible beauty and it is a state that I come to enjoy as part of my post it note journey. The other day I had a great discussion about one National Park that is absolutely beautiful and offers incredible landscape. It is located in the southwestern area of Utah and will not leave you disappointed.
Zion National Park is a huge canyon that offers amazing hiking and areas to discover. The start begins with entering the gate where you can pay the entrance fee but if you have the National Annual Pass you can enter at ease but the cost without the pass it is $30. There is plenty of parking around the visitor center and gift shop. The visitor center is extremely informative and offers plenty of great information about the history and the various stops in the park. From here you can get on the shuttles that are free and offer very informative information about the park. There are a total of eight stops throughout the park and each one offers various hiking challenges. The portion I did was the Riverside walk that takes you throughout the canyon along the Virgin River. The Temple of Sinawava is the start and it is a very easy hike through the area along with amazing views. While you are traveling up river you will notice the lushness of the vegetation of the canyon. After completion of the hike you can get on the shuttle to take back to the Visitor Center. Outside the park there are plenty of shops and restaurants. One restaurant to check out is the Whiptail Grill that offers great southwestern cuisine starting with their chips and salsa along with the other menu items including the Chipolte Chicken Enchiladas.
The closest town is Saint George and for hotels there is the Ramada By Wyndam St. George that offers a very comfortable stay that is only forty five minutes from the park. I found late May and early June as a great time to visit the park but any time of year you can visit this amazing stop. This is one National Park that will be one to add when visiting Utah. #ridingwithkurt #postit #zion #utah
