Arches National Park, Utah!!!
If there is one state that offers some amazing National Parks it is Utah. The entire state is absolutely stunning and so much to see. I have been traveling to Utah for some time including some post it note trips.
There is one National Park in Eastern Utah that offers a breathtaking scenery with a natural landscape. Arches National Park located near Moab, UT is a massive park that offers over 2000 naturally formed arches. One thing to note when visiting the park you need to make reservations at least 24 hours in advance. As you enter the park there is a gate where you pay to enter which is $30 but if you have the annual park pass then you can enter with ease. There is a parking area by the visitor center which provides valuable information about the park and gift shop. From there the road takes you through the park where you see various arches, rock formations, and views of the dessert. There are spots where you can pull over to see the arches and go for hikes. Along this stretch of road there are The Great Wall, The Phallus Pillar, Balanced Rock, Panorama Point, Salt Valley Overlook, Sand Dune Arch, Skyline Arch, Tapestry Arch, and eventually to one area that I truly enjoyed. The Devil's Garden Trail takes you on a hike where the views are spectacular. Along this trail which can be from moderate to extreme there are so many great arches to see along with the views. Four arches that I definitely enjoyed the moment seeing them consist of Landscape Arch, Partition Arch, Wall Arch, and Navajo Arch. The hike is about three miles round trip but there is also the Double O Arch which is much further along this hike.
I traveled to Arches National Park in June and the temperatures where in the upper 80's low 90's but manageable. You will want to make sure you have plenty of water and snacks when visiting and hiking this area as the climate is very dry. For hotels nearby I stayed in Green River at the Super 8 Wyndham Green River which is only forty minutes from the entrance of the park. For dining in Green River there is Tamarisk Restaurant which offers exceptional southwestern dining. Arches National Park is one to experience any time of year but one you will truly enjoy. #ridingwithkurt #postit #arches #utah
