The other day I picked up an individual who was visiting the Nashville area from Colorado. We chatted about the area where they were from and shared about my journey to their neck of the woods of Colorado two years ago. This area was part of a bigger journey out west that was part of an amazing post it note trip that covered over 1800 miles.

Colorado Springs is located about forty-five minutes south of Denver, CO. There are two great areas in the area worth checking out that offer incredible views. The first is the Garden of the God's which offers amazing hiking throughout the park. The hiking ranges from very easy to moderate and the views of the various rock formations are spectacular. The second is just about fifteen to twenty minutes away. Cave of the Wind offers cave tours, hiking, and all sorts of great activities. They even have a great nature center that educates one about the wildlife that can be found throughout the area. I found late May and early June as a great time of year to explore this area of Colorado.

For hotels I stayed in the Denver Tech area at the Hyatt House which offered a very comfortable stay with large hotel rooms. For dining options near the area there is Walter 303 which is just north of the hotel. If you are a fan of the outdoors, then add an adventure to the Colorado Springs this upcoming year. #ridingwithkurt
