The city of San Antonio has so many incredible experiences. Whether it be the food, the history, or the unique areas to explore. One such place that I have enjoyed over the past couple of days that was recommended to me by post it note was the River Walk.
The River Walk stretches throughout the city and is filled with great shops, dining, and river boat cruises. The River Walk stretches over 2.5 miles and is part of the experience in San Antonio. Along the river walk you can stop at any of the great restaurants along the path. Additionally, there are steps that take you above to the various venues above the River Walk. Some of these include the Alamo, The Alamo Market, San Fernando Cathedral, plenty of great gift shops, and hotels. One thing to do that gives you a great overall experience is the river shuttles that can be found navigating the river. The cost is only $21.50 and last about 35 minutes. While on the shuttle you get a tour of the city and the interesting each area along the river has to offer. Another great stop near the River Walk is the Tower of the Americas located just outside the city. The tower has a incredible view of the city and is only $18.50 to the top. There is even a restaurant at the top called the Chart House that offers exceptional dining.
There is not a wrong access point to the River Walk. From where I was staying at the AC Hotel River Walk San Antonio the best access point was across from the San Fernando Cathedral. Be prepared to get your steps in as the paths along the river are easy but extensive. Add a stop at the River Walk on you next visit to San Antonio. #ridingwithkurt #delta #postit
