There are so extraordinary sites to visit when it comes to Chicago. I visited this great city at the beginning of August this year on another post it note journey. Here are three activities to check out when visiting this great midwestern city.

Located to the east of the city of Chicago is The Navy Pier. This former military training area for the Navy offers great shops, restaurants, amazing views of Lake Michigan, and tour boats. There is an activity area that includes both rides and a Ferris wheel. It is only a fifteen minute walk from the riverwalk.

The architecture throughout the city is absolutely incredible. The Architecture Tour offers a great history tour about not only the buildings but the city itself. The tour takes you along the Chicago River and lasts about ninety minutes with the costs being only $45. This is one tour that I truly enjoyed.

Finally, there Millennium Park that offers all sorts of places to check out. There is the Maggie Daley Park that offers great walks through the gardens. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion provides great concerts and shows. Then there is The Bean also known as The Cloud Gate that offers a 360 degree view of this very interesting art piece while seeing the reflection of the skyline around it. The Crown Fountain is very interesting with images of individuals that are reflective of the city.

The best time of year to visit the Windy City is in the Summer months from June until September. For hotels I stayed at The Chicago Hotel Ambassador Gold Coast which is only a short walk to the L to get you to The Loop and these locations. Add these three experiences when visiting Chicago, IL. #ridingwithkurt #postit #chicago
