The Chicago River flows through the city of Chicago, IL and is part of the city. It has been part of the history for the Native Americans, those who settled in the area, and everyday life in this Midwestern town. It is also part of a great attraction that I was able to experience on my recent post it note trip to the Windy City.
The Riverwalk in Chicago is a large stretch of paths that run along the Chicago River. Along the Riverwalk are great restaurants, river tours, shops, hotels, and other attractions. The 1.25 mile is a beautiful walk through the Loop area of Chicago. Some great bridges over the riverwalk offer great views of the Chicago River and the Loop area of downtown Chicago. Some of these historic bridges include the DuSable Bridge, WaBash Avenue Bridge, State Street Bridge, and LaSalle Street Bridge.
The Chicago Riverwalk is open seven days a week from 6:00 am until 11:00 pm. It is also open year round and one that I truly enjoyed walking along the Chicago River Walk. Plus during the first week in August there is the Chicago Duck Derby supporting the Special Olympics. Check out the Chicago River Walk when visiting the great city of Chicago. #ridingwithkurt #postit #chicagoriverwalk
