My recent post it note trip to Chicago, IL included a great stay at a hotel in the Goal Coast area. It was convenient walk to the T-Rail at Martin and Division Street. There were plenty of restaurants and bars located around the hotel. The area was very walkable and safe.
The Chicago Hotel Collection Ambassador Gold Coast is a beautiful hotel with several great features. The rooms were very nice with comfortable beds, great views from the rooms, and nice bathrooms along with television, fridges, and work desk with chair. The hotel offers a great restaurant that offers both breakfast buffet, lunch, happy hour, and dinner. There is also a roof top available that offers great views with an evening cocktail. Their restaurants and cocktail experiences include Midnight Noir, Ambassador Room, The Library Lounge, and Terrace at 17. The lobby has plenty of great character to it along with a beautiful ambiance. The hotel staff is very friendly and offers informative information not only about the hotel but about the city itself. They offer two cocktail tickets per night, tickets for discounted dining at the The Library Lounge, and free breakfast tickets.
The closest T-Rail line is only a ten minute walk. From there you are only twenty minutes to Wrigley, ten minutes to The Loop area, ten minutes to the riverwalk, and about one hour to O'Hare. There are several stores nearby to get your personal items live Walgreens or CVS.
