In 1880 Newport, RI would become the play ground to the wealthiest individuals from New York City. They built large cottages, mansions, and estates along the coastline. They would also establishe a popular trail along the coast of Newport from 1880 until 1926. This would also be part of my post-it note trip to Newport.

The Cliff Walk in Newport, RI is a trail that consists of various stops and is over three and a half miles. The north end of the trail is the easiest part that begins at Easton's Beach. There are a total of seven stops along this part that include The Chandler, Forty Steps, Ochre Court, Vinland Estate, The Breakers, and Anglesea. The next stretch becomes more difficult with more challenging hikes. The remaining stops include the Rosecliff, Beechwood, Marble House, Chinese Tea House, Rough Point, Land's End, The Waves, and Bailey's Beach. The views along the Cliff Walk are absolutely beautiful. Seeing the various mansions are incredible especially with the size of the estates.

There is a city bus that can get you access to the Easton's Beach or you can get a Uber. It is less than ten minutes from downtown Newport, RI. If you enjoy hiking, history, and natural beauty then the Cliff Walk is a must when visiting Newport, RI. #ridingwithkurt #postit #Newport #cliffwalk
