The United States has plenty of great areas to explore including National Parks. If you are looking for the natural beauty of the American states then these are some of the best ways to see it. Utah is one state that offers a tremendous amount of National Parks including one located in the Southwestern portion of the state and part of my post it note journey.

Zion National Park is a massive National Park formed by the Virgin River is southwestern Utah. The entrance is located about thirty minutes east of Saint George, UT. The cost to enter the park is only $30 bit with the annual National Park Pass there is no charge. Once you enter the park there is an immense beauty that you see. You park at the visitor center and from there your adventure begins. The visitor center is informative with a great gift shop. To enter the park you will take the shuttle to one of the eight stops. The shuttle offers a nice tour of the park and you can get on and off with ease and take in the various hikes and areas that each portion offers. The one thing about this park is the pure size it offers and the size of the canyon you are walking in. Although I was only there for one day I highly recommend being there a minimum of three days to check out the various hiking trails. For the Angels Landing you will need to make reservations in advance as well as entering the park. There is no costs for using the shuttle either and it is a very relaxed drive. The best time to see Zion National Park is from late May until October but due check the rain forecast as historically the canyon is susceptible to flooding from heavy rains that can affect the area any time of year.

Just outside the park there are plenty of shops and restaurants. For hotels there are plenty of hotels in Saint George, UT including the Ramada Inn Saint George which is only forty minutes away. A visit to Zion National Park will not leave you disappointed and appreciate the beauty of Utah. #ridingwithkurt #postit #utah
