The Opryland Hotel Nashville, TN!!!

The other day I was picking up several individuals from a popular hotel and convention center north of Nashville, TN. This is a hotel that is part of the original tourist destination in the Music City dating back to 1977. It is also the largest hotel and convention center in North America without a casino. Additionally, they have a post it note recommendation for this marvelous place.

The Opryland Hotel first opened their doors in 1977 with the Magnolia wing. It was a hotel that became part of the Nashville history as over the course of nearly twenty years it would grow in size with the additions of the Cascades in the 1980's and the Delta in 1996. They would also add the Soundwaves about nine years ago which is their indoor and outdoor water park. The hotel has two atriums with gardens, waterfalls, a river, and fountains. There are several walking paths throughout the gardens and waterfalls. There are boat tours on the river that provide a history of the hotel. The hotel also offers over eighteen restaurants and bars. There are over The restaurants go from casual dining with Stax for burgers, Fuse Sports Bar, Delta Marketplace, and other options. They also offer upscale dining with the Old Hickory Steakhouse, Ravello, Cascades American Cuisine, and Solario Cantina. There are plenty of shopping and gift shops at the hotel. The hotel offers 2,888 hotel rooms. This is a marvelous wonder of Nashville and one that should be explored.

Nearby is the Grand Ole Opry which is only a short walk from the Opryland Hotel. Incredible performances can be found here on a regular basis that has been doing performances since 1974. There is also the Opry Mills Mall that offers shops and restaurants. For a great riverboat cruise that offers live shows and dinner check out the General Jackson that was commissioned in 1985. There is also the Nashville Palace and Scoreboard that offer line dancing and live music. The Opryland Hotel is located only 18 to 20 minutes from downtown and 11 to 13 minutes from the airport.
