My first day in Washington D.C. consisted of plenty of great stops throughout the city. After a full afternoon of walking and riding the Metro I ended at a post-it note recommendation that offers a taste of Italy. It is located just Northeast of The Mall area.

SFlogina is an incredible Italian dining experience that offers a menu that consisted of appetizers, salads, pasta dishes, entree items, and desserts. For my appetizer I had their Provolone Garlic Bread served with tomato sauce. This is some of the most flavorful Garlic Bread with so many flavors from the Garlic, provolone cheese, calabrese chilis, the marinara sauce. For my main course I had the Chicken Parmesan which was awesome. Breaded Chicken cutlet fried to perfection, served over marinara sauce, and topped with melted fontina and parmesan cheese. The immense flavors with the dish are incredible. The chicken was very tender and the flavors of the marinara and cheese balanced well. For dessert I had their peach sorbet which was a nice finish to my dining experience.

The service was awesome and ambiance very cool. They are open six days a week from 11:30 am until 9:30 pm with Saturday from 5:00 pm till 10:00 pm. If you're looking for great Italian dining in Washington D.C. head to SFlogina. #ridingwithkurt #delta #postit
