Pinkerton's BBQ San Antonio, TX

Texas is known for great BBQ throughout the entire state. Last night I was able to experience such a place here in San Antonio. A couple weeks prior to San Antonio a couple form the city offered one of their favorite BBQ spots on a post it note and said the place was amazing and they were not wrong.

Pinkerton's BBQ is located just west of the River Walk and offers a BBQ experience like no other. My recommendation is get there early because they do run out fast. The menu ranges from Beef Ribs, Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork Shoulder, Chicken, and Sausage plus the sides. When I arrived last night, the line was already impressive, but it seemed like the wait was going to be worth it. After waiting a good thirty minutes I finally was able to enter but the line didn't stop. Fifteen minutes later I had finally reached the point to order. I will say this when I mentioned to get there early, I was not lying as while I waited they had run out of the Beef Ribs, Pork Ribs, and Chicken. I place my order with sides first with the Grant's Potato Salad and their Duck and Sausage Jambalaya. For the meats I had three slices of their fatty Beef Brisket and a quarter pound of their pulled pork. I have had some amazing brisket and pulled pork in my lifetime but this brisket and pulled pork was up there. The flavors and tenderness of the brisket were immense along with the flavor. The potato salad was amazing and the Jambalaya was incredible. The service was amazing and well worth the wait.

There is a great market near Pinkerton's and only a fifteen-minute walk from the Riverwalk. The AC Hotel is only six minutes from the restaurant. Add a great BBQ dining experience to Pinkerton's when visiting San Antonio. #ridingwithkurt #delta #postit
