When it comes to Chicago, Il there is no shortage of places for live entertainment or concert. Many of these areas of entertainment are scattered throughout the city. There is one that is located in the Loop area that offers plenty of great live entertainment throughout the Summer Months and also a place that I was able to see on my most recent post it note trip.
In 2004 Architect Frank Gehry had the completion of a music venue that would offer great concerts in a beautiful outdoor structure in the heart of The Loop. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion offers both seating and lawn access to see the wonderful entertainers that take the stage throughout the Summer. It is home to the Grand Park Music Festival and The Grand Park Symphony and Chorus. Historically there have many incredible musicians who have performed here including Ben Folds, Ray Montagne David Gray, Ron Carter, and many more. Seeing a performance here is definitely worth the stop.
The venue is free to the public with the lawn seats and you can purchase tickets for the seats. This stage is under the band shell and located in Millennium Park. There is always plenty of great walking areas around the venue plus during each show there are plenty of concessions. For a great music venue located in the heart of Chicago check out the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. #ridingwithkurt #postit #jaypritzkerpavilion
