The outdoors is not too far away from the downtown Nashville area. Just southwest of Nashville, you'll find the Harpeth River and an area between Bellevue and Pegam where you can enjoy this natural beauty. There is a great outfitter service in this area that offers both kayaking and canoeing.

Broken Paddle Outfitters is located on Highway 70 South, which offers kayak and canoe rentals seven days a week on the Harpeth River. There are shuttle services available and various packages available. The first launch begins at 9 am. with the last one at 2 pm. Prices range from $50 to $75 dollars depending on the style of canoe or kayak you rent. Note that you must sign a waiver prior to renting any of their services.
