BBQ In Memphis: Rendezvous BBQ!!!
The food scene throughout the state of Tennessee varies from Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville, Memphis, and other cities in between. When it comes to BBQ especially ribs there is one city where you can find a great stop that was recommended to me by post it note. The city you can find this stop in the city of Memphis, TN.
Memphis is known for Beale Street, Blues, Graceland, great BBQ, The Peabody Hotel, Bass Pro Shops Headquarters, and other stops. For ribs there are one place to check out and both are legends as the blues in this city. The stop is located in the heart of downtown Memphis and it is called The Rendezvous BBQ has doing ribs since 1948. The ribs have a dry rub and are smoked daily. You can actually smell the ribs being smoked as you walk in to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is located in the basement of the building but if offers a dining experience like no other. The ribs are a big part of the experience but the menu offers a wide range of food including appetizers, salads, entree items, and sides. The ribs are served dry along with two sides but there is a variety of sauces on the table. I enjoyed their baked beans along with the original mild BBQ sauce to did the ribs in. The ribs themselves are absolutely delicious and fall of the bone tenderness with a hint of the smoke with the seasoning.
The service is excellent and ambiance is amazing. They are open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm while on Friday and Saturday they are open from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm. When in Memphis check out Rendezvous BBQ for memory to remember. #ridingwithkurt #postit #rendezvousbbq
