Three and a half years ago I was on a post it note journey out west. One of the stops was in Northern Arizona which included an amazing views and one that I will not forget. Four months prior I was trying to get to this destination but it wad six feet of snow keeping this National Park closed but in June of 2023 I was able to explore this stop.

The Northern Rim of the Grand Canyon was formed by the Colorado River and is 1,500 feet higher than the Southern Rim. There is exceptional hiking along this rim that offers various stops along the road to check out. To enter the park it costs $30 but with the National Park Annual Pass it is free to enter. Once you pass the entrance you'll want to head to the visitor center for some great views of the canyon from there. There are a couple gift shops in this area as well. There are two hiking trails from here you can explore including the Bright Angel Point Trail that connects to the Transept that runs along the canyon rim. From there you can drive over to three other stops that offer exceptional views and hiking which include Roosevelt Point, Angels Window, and Cape Royal Point. All of these stops have parking available with easy trails to each point. Early June was a great time of the year to visit where the temperatures were around the low 80's.

For hotels I stayed in Page, AZ at the Quality Inn Lake Powell which was about an two and a half away. From Page to the Northern Rim it is scenic ride along Highway 89 to Highway 89A to Highway 67. If you are looking for an amazing National Park in Northern Arizona then head to The Northern Rim of the Grand Canyon. #ridingwithkurt #postit #arizona
