Architecture In Chicago, Il!!!
In August I made another post it note journey to a city that I have been hearing about for nearly four years. Chicago is a city that offers so many great and unique activities to check out. If you are looking for a great adventure to the Windy City then here are three stops at add when visiting.
One of the more interesting stops is located near Millennium Park. It is an architecture piece that was built by architect Anish Kapoor in 2006 the would be called The Cloud Gate but it is also known as The Bean. You have a 360 degree reflection of the the Chicago skyline as you walk around it. It is absolutely fascinating and you can even get a picture of yourself in the reflection or make it look like your holding The Bean.
Inside The Loop there are so many awesome architecture pieces to explore with the skyscrapers. If you are looking for a dining or cocktail experience that offers a spectacular view from high amongst Trump Tower here is one awesome stop. Terrace 16 is part bar, fine dining restaurant, and a terrace that offers a 180 degree view of the area around it. It offers views of Lake Michigan, The Chicago River, and all the buildings around including the Willis Tower right next to it. You gain a sense of appreciation for the beauty seen from the Terrace as you enjoy your favorite cocktail.
If you are a fan of architecture then this is one you will want to experience. The Architecture Tour by Wendella is absolutely awesome and gives you a great history of the city while providing interesting information with a knowledgeable tour guide along the Chicago River. The tour lasts ninety minutes and is only $49.00.
These three stops will offer you a great appreciation for the architecture throughout Chicago. The best time of year to visit Chicago is from June until September as temperatures are not to hot. Add a stop to one of these three stops when visiting Chicago, IL. #ridingwithkurt #postit #chicago
