When it comes to Chicago you definitely get your steps in but with the T-Rail it adds a way to connect you through the city. Walking through Chicago is quite enjoyable and one that I truly enjoyed. There is so many great features that I appreciated while walking around the Windy City on my most recent post it note trip.

My second full day consisted of a walk from Portillo's to the River Front District that offered great views of the architecture throughout this stretch that that was about 19 minutes that is less than a mile. From there you can enjoy the walk along the River Walk to an area that offers exceptional views of Lake Michigan. The Walk from The River Front to the Navy Pier is about 21 minutes and it is a pleasant walk that allows you to see part of the Chicago River, Ogdan William Plaza Park, and a eventual view of the Navy Pier as well as Lake Michigan. After time spent on the Navy Pier head south of there for a great walk that offers more views of the Riverfront to the southern part of the Loop that consists of stops of Maggie Daley Park, The Bean, The Chicago Art Museum, Crown Fountain, and Jay Pritzker Pavilion which is about a total of 30 minutes from the Navy Pier by foot. The final stretch takes you back to the look where you pass the Chicago Theatre that is world famous for their concerts and shows located on N State Street a short ten minute walk. From there it is less than and ten minute walk back to the River Walk for views of Trump Tower, dining at Lou Malnati's, the Wrigley Building, Wendella Architecture Boat Tours, and other great features.

This entire walking tour is about five miles in length and lasts about eight to ten hours. It offers a bit of history, architecture, great views, and plenty of great restaurants along the way. If you are a fan of enjoying a walking tour while traveling then this great walking overview of the city of Chicago is for you. #ridingwithkurt #postit #chicago
