There are plenty of great historical buildings and sights throughout the city of Nashville. One such building is located on Broadway and 10th Avenue South. The building has been around since 1900 and has a very interesting history. Additionally, this stop even has a post it note.
The Union Station Hotel began as Nashville's Train Station when it was built in 1900. Over the years this was the place people would stop to see the music city at the time before all the popularity of the modern era of Nashville. When the steam engine ended the building was abandoned and many thought it would be destroyed. With the help of many investors the building would be changes into a hotel with the original stain glass windows, stonework, and the interior. The hotel is now a Marriott property and has a beautiful lobby with high vaulted ceilings. The lobby is also fully decorated for Christmas and offers a couple dining options and bar. Along with an amazing fireplace that is big enough for Santa to come through. The hotel has three options for dining and drinks. The Stationary is a sophisticated dining experience with captivating adult beverages. The Alligator Bar is located in the lobby and offers a very relaxed atmosphere. The Bar Car offers tasty small plates and amazing cocktails. The service at all three places is excellent as well with the hotel.
The hotel is only a short walk to Broadway, The Ryman, The Pinnacle, The Frist, The Gulch, The Country Music Hall of Fame, 5th and Broadway Building, Johnny Cash Museum, and Printer's Alley. It is only a short drive to 12th Avenue South, West End, The Parthenon, Green Hills, Germantown, and Belle Meade. There is a couple great restaurant nearby that have been recommended to me by post it note including The Finch, The Grange, Etch, Eddie V's, and many more. Add a stop or stay at the Union Station Hotel when looking for history, great food, and a good central location when visiting Nashville, TN. #ridingwithkurt
