Union Station Hotel Nashville, TN

Yesterday, I provided a ride from the airport to a couple who was staying at a historic hotel located near the heart of downtown Nashville. During the late 1890s and early 1900s, Nashville was part of an agricultural era that consisted of trade on Steamboat and trains. Transportation at the time was done by horse and buggy, train, or with the Steamboats. In 1900, the city of Nashville would build its train station located near 10th Avenue.

The building was serviced as Nashville's train station until 1979 when it ended. The building was supposed to be demolished, but through several investors, it became a historic property and now is a Marriott property. The hotel has the original limestone, stain glass windows, incredible vaulted ceilings, bar, and dining. The service at the Union Station hotel is impeccable and worth stopping by to see this incredible hotel.

There are several dining options nearby that have been recommended to me by post-it notes, which include the Finch, The Mockingbird, Chauhan Ale, and Masala House, plus many more. It's a short walk to Cummings Station that offers plenty of great interests, especially with the Gibson Garage. The Gulch is also not too far away with great activities like shopping, dining, Putt Shack, Pins Mechanical, and Murals.

A stay at the Union Station Hotel offers a step back into the history of Nashville along with the modern activities nearby. It's a short walk to Broadway and all the venues and live music. Add a stay or stop at the Union Station Hotel on your next visit to Nashville. #ridingwithkurt
