The other evening I was providing a ride from the Nashville International Airport and we were chatting about great things and food in Nashville, TN. She told me about one of her new favorite Cajun dining option that has recently opened in the Nashville Farmers Market. Yesterday I made a stop at the now popular Cajun spot that was recommended to me by post it note.

Fired Up is a true Cajun and Creole dining experience that reminded me of my travels to New Orleans. They have a menu that offers great and tasty items that are from the Louisiana. The menu has Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, Jambalaya, Boudin, Muffalleta, and other great items. They even provide free tastings for you to decide which great Cajun dish you would like to have. I sampled both their Zach's Gumbo and their Jambalaya. Both were very good and offered immense flavor. I ordered the Jambalaya which was excellent with plenty of sausage and chicken that was well seasoned in Cajun spice. It was mixed in a seasoned rice and mirepoix that had tremendous flavor. The over all dish was awesome and one that I would have again. The service is excellent and very knowledgeable about the various dishes. The French Bread is also served with every dish and is also very good.

Fired Up is located in the Nashville Farmers Market which offers great local shops, vendors, and restaurants. The Nashville Farmers Market is located in the Germantown side of Nashville. There are plenty of great attractions nearby including the Tennessee State Museum, State Capitol, and Bicentennial Mall. Add a stop at Fired Up and the Nashville Farmers Market on you next journey to Nashville, TN. #ridingwithkurt
