Two Stops For Hiking and Pizza In Colorado

Just south of Denver is the town of Colorado Springs. Near this area of Colorado, there is an amazing park that offers extraordinary views and hiking. This was part of my second post it note trip, and the area did not disappoint.

Garden of the God's is a place that offers scenic beauty along with a peace that can only be found in an area nestled next to the Rockies. There is a visitor center that is open from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm. They offer information about the park and the various areas of hiking throughout the park. Parking is available next to the visitor center. There is also dining at the park with the Gateway Cafe. I found that late May is a great time to visit the park.

After a day of hiking and adventure in the park, drive 35 minutes north to Idaho Springs for a pizza stop unlike any other. Beau Jo's Pizza was recommended to me a couple of years ago, and this is a true Colorado Pizza experience. The ambiance is awesome, the service is amazing, and their pizza will not disappoint.

A day hiking throughout Garden of the God's is an incredible experience. Plus, a pizza stops at Beau Jo's. These are two epic Colorado stops that won't leave you disappointed. Add these two when visiting Colorado. #ridingwithkurt
