Yesterday, I was taking a couple to the airport who were on their way to New Jersey for Labor Day weekend. One place that came up as a discussion for their additional upcoming travels was Colorado. Colorado offers so many great adventures, and it has been a place that has offered plenty of experiences in my life. If you are a fan of hiking, then there are a couple of places that you need to check out in this fantastic state. Here are two stops that have been recommended to me by post-it note.
The Garden of the God's is located in the Colorado Springs area and offers exceptional hiking in the park. The park offers exceptional hiking and views of the various rock formations. There is a visitor center at the park that offers valuable information.
In Boulder, there is the Flat Irons, which offer various levels of challenging hikes. The area is located just west of Boulder, and there are several areas that you can park at. With my recent trip back in May, I parked at the NCAR trail head and enjoyed the views of the area and the challenges that the hiking had to offer.
These two stops are amazing and one to add if you are looking for a basic hike to the more challenging experience. Additionally, for dining near the Denver area, head up to Idaho Springs for an incredible pizza stop called Beau Jo's Pizza. Various styles of pizza offer a thick crust that you can drizzle honey at the end for a dessert twist. A stop at any of these places in Colorado will offer spectacular hiking and the variety of geography that Colorado has to offer. Add a stop to one of these exceptional places when looking to explore Colorado. #ridingwithkurt
