Yesterday, I had a group that was from Arizona as well as a couple who lived there at one point. We chatted about my adventures there and even how this was even part of my second post-it note trip. Here are three stops, two dining spots, and one hotel to stay when visiting Arizona.
The first is the Grand Canyon. I have done both the Southern and Northern Rim of The Grand Canyon. This is one National Park to add, and the beauty of the Canyon is unbelievable. Four years ago, I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time, and the beauty of this stop is amazing. Two years ago, I saw the Northern Rim, and it reminded me again how amazing this area of the country is. I have found that late May, early June, is a great time to visit.
The second is just east of Scottsdale and a national forest that offers a unique experience to seeing the desert. Tonto National Forest is amazing with the diversity of the land shape and geography of the desert in Arizona. Additionally, nearby is Tortilla Flat, an old mining town that offers some exquisite experiences for Arizona History.
The third is Old Town Scottsdale. This is a historic area of Scottsdale with old missions, shopping, galleries, and dining. It's best to visit this area from November to March.
For dining in Arizona that I have always enjoyed in Scottsdale, include Carlsbad Cavern and Z Tejas Grill. Both offer incredible Southwestern cuisine and incredible service. You won't go wrong with either place when visiting Scottsdale.
For hotels, I have always enjoyed staying at The Embassy Suites by Hilton Scottsdale Resort. The hotel has an amazing view of Camel Back Mountain and the Golf Course. Additionally, the hotel offers an incredible breakfast buffet.
Arizona offers so much with national parks, incredible dining, and amazing scenery. I have plenty of post-it note recommendations for additional travels to Arizona that I look forward to experiencing. Add a stop in Arizona for your next travel adventures in the United States. #ridingwithkurt
