Twenty Five years ago I moved to Rhode Island to pursue my culinary career. I lived in a small town east of Providence that at the time it was considered the smallest town in the smallest state in the United States. Last year someone provided me a post-it note for this town and a recommendation for a restaurant that did not exists at the time I was living there. Yesterday I made a stop in this town for a awesome experience and my first time back to this town in almost twenty three years.

Warren, RI is a quaint little town that has a couple main streets with shopping and dining. The street that lived on was called Water Street. I even found where I previously lived and it didn't look the same. On Water Street is a neat restaurant that offers some amazing food. It sits on The Barrington River with beautiful views. The name of the restaurant is The Wharf and it offers amazing views with an incredible menu. Their menu is mainly seafood based from the appetizers, entrees, and sandwiches. They offer both soups and salads. For starters I had their Lobster Bisque which was awesome. It had a deep flavor of lobster in a creamy bisque and topped with chopped lobster. For the main course I had their Fish and Chips which was excellent. A large peice of Fresh Cod battered then deep fried, served over fries, with coleslaw, and tartar sauce. The whole dish was very flavorful but the fried cod and tartar sauce stole the show. The fish feel apart and the fried batter was very crispy. The service was exceptional especially with my server Lauren. The ambiance was very nice with great views of the river. They offer indoor and outdoor seating.

They are open seven days a week from 11:30 am until 10:00 pm. After dining I enjoyed walking around the town of Warren and seeing how much had changes. If you're looking for a hidden gem in dining experiences in Rhode Island head to The Wharf. #ridingwithkurt #post #Warren #thewharf
