The Navy Yards is located just southeast of Washington D.C. It is an area that offers plenty of great shops, restaurants, views of the Potomac River, The Washington Natinals Baseball Stadium, and other amazing places. It is also an area that I have several post-it note recommendations for.

Last night I made a stop at a popular restaurant in the area that was recommendedtomebypost-itnote. The Salt Line Restaurant offersi ncredible seafood, sandwiches, appetizers, a raw bar, entree dishes, beverages, and desserts. I started with their Clam Chowder which had amazing flavor and more of a Rhode Island style. The broth was very flavorful with hints of smoked meat, clam broth, and a slight cream. It was topped with croutons and parsley. The entire cup of Chowder was excellent and even their was no shortage of chopped clam and potatoes. The second course consisted of four Dancing Molly Raw Oysters service with Mignonette and Cocktail Sauce. They are harvested along the Maryland coast and are very sweet in flavor. The overall flavor between the Oysters, Mignonette, and Cocktail Sauce was very enjoyable. My main course was their Fried Cod Sandwich. A generous portion of Cod deep fried in a delicious batter, served on a toasted bun with lettuce, and Tartar Sauce. I truly enjoyed this Sandwich and it did not disappoint along with the fries.

The service was exceptional and had a fun atmosphere. They are open service Monday through Thursday from 4:00 pm until 11:30 pm, Friday from 12:00 pm till 11:30 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am until 11:30 pm. If you're looking for for an amazing dining experience in The Navy Yards in Washington D.C. then add Salt Line. #ridingwithkurt #postit
