Last night, on my way home, I noticed a gathering of individuals with Telescopes by Hidden Lake just slightly west of Bellevue. This little gathering caught my attention and decided to stop by. Found out it was a group of local astronomer enthusiasts who were having a star party. They have these gatherings weekly at various state parks throughout the Middle Tennessee area.
Their next star party is at one of my previous post-it note stops just west of the Nashville area. The location is at Montgomery Bell State Park. The park is awesome, only located about forty-five minutes west of Nashville. This location offers some excellent experiences. The park offers a hotel, cabins, restaurant with spectacular views and great food, fishing, hiking, and excellent star gazing. Next Saturday, the BSAS star gazing party will occur at Montgomery Bell State Park. The party will be held from 6:30 until 11:00 pm next Friday. This is free to the public and located inside the state park near the ballpark.
If you are into Star Gazing or just looking for a unique outdoor experience, then this is one for all ages. They will be offering these star parties throughout the year. Check out their website for your next celestial party. #ridingwithkurt
