Sperry's Belle Meade, TN!!!

Wednesday evening I celebrated my birthday at a steakhouse that I have always enjoyed. Growing up in the Nashville, TN this was the place you would go to celebrate birthday's, anniversary's, accomplishments in life, and other big moments in life. It is located in the Belle Meade area and has been around since 1974. Plus it is also a place that has been recommended to me by post it note.

Sperry's is a legendary steakhouse that offers an amazing dining experience. They food is just as incredible as the service. The menu is very traditional along with the extensive wine lists. The menu ranges from soups, salads, their salad bar, appetizers, entree dishes, seafood, cuts of steak, sides, and desserts. I started my dining experience with their awesome salad bar that offers a wide variety of ways to build your salad. I topped my salad with a combination of their balsamic vinaigrette and old fashion bleu cheese dressing. The salad included romaine, olives, bell peppers, carrots, celery, baby corn, pickled okra, bacon bits, and croutons. The entire salad was excellent and very fresh. For my main course I had their King Cut Prime Rib. It is a sixteen ounce perfectly cooked to medium Prime Rib that is served with Au Jus and Horseradish Sauce. The flavor in every bite is tremendous. Plus it is very tender and along with the Au Jus and Horseradish Sauce it balanced well in all the flavors. For Wine pairing with the Prime Rib I had their Sperry's Cabernet which was lighter on the palate not overtaking the enjoyment of my cut. For the complimentary birthday dessert I had their Carrot Cake which was delicious.

The service was about as awesome as you can get. The ambience is very nice and offers the original decor dating back to when the steakhouse first opened. They are open seven days a week from 4:00 pm till 10:00 pm with happy hour from 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm.
