Southeastern Utah offers so many incredible stops. One to add is Valley of the God's located on Highway 163. The views are stunning, and it's as if you see the beauty of Utah as it were over a hundred years ago. There are no gas stations in sight, no billboards, or no major cities close by. In fact, your closest cities are about two hours away. The drive through the park is a seventeen mile loop that takes about two hours. The Valley is filled with Buttes and hiking trails with plenty of places you can stop to get incredible photos of the area.
The location sits between White Mesa and Mexican Hat, Utah. If you're looking for hotels here are you're options look at Green River Utah with the Super 8 by Wyndham, Page Arizona with the Quality Inn View Lake Powell, or the View Hotel in Monument Valley. Either of these hotels offers great pricing and comfortable rooms along with great sights nearby. Arches, Monument Valley, Northern Rim Of The Grand Canyon, Vermillion Cliffs, and The Valley Of The God's can all be found near these hotels. Plus, many of these locations were recommended to me by post-it notes.
This is a great road trip with stunning beauty and epic experiences along highways 191,163, and 89. Late May or early June were great times to explore this area as the temperatures were around 80 degrees. Add this as a road trip for your upcoming travels in 2025. #ridingwithkurt
