If there is one area of the United States that I have always enjoyed traveling to that is in the southeast is South Florida. I have had plenty of recent discussions about this area of the country and have received plenty of post it notes recommendations for this area of country. The food, clear water, culture, and activities are endless.
The area of South Florida that I have always enjoyed traveling to is the area north of Fort Lauderdale and South of West Palm Beach. The area is convenient to the Fort Lauderdale airport, great restaurants, white sands, and clear waters. A couple of hotels that I have enjoyed staying at that had great beach access were the Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach and Ocean Sky Hotel and Resort. Both offered great and beautiful views of the ocean, the rooms were clean and comfortable, plus the restaurants were very good. Additionally, both hotels were less than two hours to the Florida Keys and less than an hour to the Everglades. About thirty minutes north of this area is Boca Raton that offers great shopping and dining. One such dining place that I discovered about four years ago is Luff's Fish House located in downtown Boca Raton. They offer incredible seafood dishes along with great appetizers and Key Lime Pie. The Conch Chowder is a must along with the Seared Sea Scallops. Excellent service and indoor and outdoor seating. Additionally, a fun place to check out near the hotels is the Hard Rock Hotel which offers collections of icons in music and a casino. Highly recommend renting a car to see the various sites of South Florida.
South Florida is an amazing area of the country to visit. I have found visiting any time of the year can be nice but late May or even October offered ideal weather. Add a trip to South Florida when looking for sunny skies and beautiful beaches in the United States. #ridingwithkurt
