Five years ago, I made a trip to Fort Lauderdale. Yesterday, I had a couple of discussions with individuals from South Florida about the amazing things to do in that part of the United States. The clear waters of the Atlantic, the food, and so many great experiences the area has to offer. When I visit South Florida, I usually stay in the area slightly north of Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. I had no idea at the time that this would be part of my adventure to see all seven continents by Post-it Notes. Since my beginnings with doing Uber, this area of Florida is one I recommend.

The area offers beachside hotels with great restaurants nearby. Generally, when I go, I like to break it up with a couple days at the beach, then a drive down to Key West and The Everglades. I also enjoy the sunset views at the pier at Pampano Beach. One dining experience you'll want to add is a drive up to Boca Raton. Luff's fish house is one I have always enjoyed. The Conch Chowder is extremely flavorful along with their Seared Scallops. The Key Lime pie will not leave you disappointed as well.

For hotels, there are two places that I had no complaints about when visiting South Florida. The first one is Ocean Sky Hotel and Resort. The hotel is older, but the beach access is amazing along with the dining. The second is the Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Pampano Beach. This was another hotel that offered beach access. The breakfast was awesome with incredible views of the ocean. Both hotels offered excellent hotel rooms and very comfortable beds.

Since then, I have gathered plenty of post-it notes for South Florida and the state itself. Look forward to eventually traveling back to this area of the country. Finally, the Fort Lauderdale Airport is very convenient and is only about twenty to thirty minutes from the areas I mentioned above. Add a stay in Fort Lauderdale for your next trip to Florida this year!!! #ridingwithkurt
