Sonobana Belle Meade, TN

The other day I was chatting with a individual about the amount of great dining experiences that have opened up in the Nashville area. Last night I made a stop for dinner at a sushi restaurant that has been consistent for years in the Nashville area plus I even have a post it note recommendation for this place. They offer great sushi and other Japanese dishes.

Sonobana is a place that I have been dining at since I was a kid. The restaurant is located in the Belle Meade area of Nashville in Lions Head Village on White Bridge Road. They menu offers appetizers, sushi, soups, salads, bento boxes, and entree dishes. The first course consisted of Miso Soup and their green salad with ginger dressing both were very good and the soup had immense flavor. The second course I had two sushi rolls which consisted of a Crunchy Shrimp Roll and their Green Dragon Roll. The Crunchy shrimp was quite tasty with shrimp, crunch, roe, and avocado. The Green Dragon was amazing with Tempura Shrimp in a roll and topped with avocado and eel sauce. The third course consisted of the Shogun Bento Box which consists of Shrimp Teriyaki, assortment of veggie and shrimp tempura, California Roll, steamed vegetables, bean sprouts, and rice. The entire course was amazing with the shrimp being properly cooked and awesome flavor. The tempura was very delicious and fried to perfection. The service was excellent and has a great ambiance to it. Additionally, they remodeled their restaurant about a year ago and it looks really nice inside.

There is plenty of shopping and activities near the restaurant. It is about fifteen minutes by uber from the downtown area. If you looking for great sushi in Nashville head to Sonobana. #ridingwithkurt
