There are plenty of great music venues not only in Nashville, TN but across the entire United States. There is one that is always popular with discussion and over the last four years I have attended one at least three times along with it has been a destination that has been part of two post it note trips. It is located just outside of Denver, CO in Morrison, CO.

Red Rocks Amphitheater and Park has an incredible history to it dating back to the early 1900's. The first concert has held here in 1911 with Scottish Sing Mary Garden. Since then it has had incredible performance with such groups as U2, The Beatles, Grateful Dead, Phish, Lord Huron, Blues Traveler, and many more. It is a venue that sits at an altitude of over 6500 feet and the views are exceptional from the amphitheater. The concert season runs from May until November. You will want to get there early for the parking that sits up on the upper lot. There is great tailgating and also hiking throughout the park as well. There is a museum that is located near the venue that offers history about the various eras. If you are looking to attend a concert this season then get your tickets early as the concerts sell out fast.

Red Rocks Amphitheater is located about 30 minutes northwest of downtown Denver, CO. For hotels I generally stay in Denver Tech at the Hyatt House or Hyatt Place. Add a stop for a great concert, hiking, history, and exploration at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO. #ridingwithkurt #postit
