Music is a part of my life along with a great music venue. Yesterday I provided a ride to a couple of individuals who were visiting Nashville from Colorado. On top of that I had shared with them and others about my trip to Colorado earlier this year and about my music experience at Red Rocks Ampitheater. So many have told me that Red Rocks is such a bucket list stop and it has even been recommended to me several times throughout the years by post it note.

A concert at Red Rocks Ampitheater is almost of a religious experience as it comes. The venue sits above 6000 feet in altitude and the views are spectacular. It was opened in 1941 and since then it has entertained many concert goers who have seen so many incredible artists. It is a historic landmark and and seats over 9000 people. It also sits on 738 acres that offer great hiking, scenic views, and wildlife. Over the course of 75 years there have been so many iconic artists that have performed at Red Rocks including The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix, Jethro Tull, John Denver, Bruce Springstein, Grateful Dead, U2, and Bob Dylan. The venue is amazing and there is not a bad seat in the Ampitheater. I highly recommend getting there early as parking can be limited right next to Red Rocks but also there is tailgating which you can take in the pre-concert fun. I have seen three shows at Red Rocks Ampitheater, and you also want to dress for the elements and weather. There are concessions available and areas to pick up merchandise from your favorite artists the night of the concert.

Red Rocks Ampitheater is located in the Morrison, Colorado just west of Denver. There are great restaurants in Morrison, but Golden is also not too far away. I generally stay in Denver Tech at one of the Hyatt properties. For dining options that were recommended to me by post it note check out Beau Jo's Pizza in Colorado Springs which is only 30 minutes away. If Red Rocks is on your bucket list, then go ahead and check off this stop for attending a show in 2026. You will not be disappointed, and the memory will be amazing. #ridingwithkurt
