The city of Nashville, TN has been changing drastically over the past twenty years. There are some places that are no longer hear, but some have stayed in tack and are still frequently visited. One such place is a place that I used to bike to as a kid and enjoy the peace of this area. It is a state park and located only twenty minutes south of the downtown area.

Radnor Lake State Park offers an incredible beauty right in the Forrest Hills area of Nashville. The park offers a great visitor center that provides very valuable information about the park and the things to there . Additionally, inside the visitor center there are exhibits about the history of the park and park rangers to answer any questions about hiking throughout the park plus wildlife. There are various hiking trails throughout the park and around the lake. The entire park covers over 1300 acres and the views of the lake are breathtaking. You can see wildlife on your hikes from White Tailed Deer, Turkey, Owls, Waterfowl, Turtles, Fish, Squirrels, and other species. It is also a great park for bird watching. The park is open seven days a week from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm. There is parking also at the park our down the street at Strong Tower Bible Church.

For dining options near the park that have been recommended to me by post it note head to Green Hills which is only ten to twelve minutes away. Such great dining options include Green Hills Grille, The Green House, and The Crow's Nest. If you are a fan of the outdoors or looking to get out to enjoy the wonderful Spring weather this weekend head to Radnor Lake State Park for a great outdoor experience in Nashville, TN. #ridingwithkurt
