The city of Nashville offers plenty of great museums. Whether you are looking for music, history, science, or the arts there is a museum form everyone. One such museum sits in Nashville's second oldest music venue and offers every genre of music history. Plus, this great museum even has a post it note recommendation from one of their employees.
The Musicians Hall of Fame is located on 4th Avenue North, and this place is awesome. The cost of the entry into the museum is $28.00 and offers a complete self-guided tour into the museum plus a ten-minute video that offers a historical background to the venue, the history of the music not only in Nashville, but throughout the entire world. After the video you enter the museum and every era of music can be found inside here. There are various studio exhibits including the Stax Recording Exhibit, Nashville Exhibit, Muscle Shoals Exhibit, Jimi Hendrix Exhibit, L. A. Exhibit, Motown Exhibit, and American Studio Exhibit. There are so many artists are featured at the museum from The Rat Pack, Otis Redding, Hank Williams Sr., George Jones, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Merle Haggard, Chet Atkins, Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and plenty of other incredible names in music. There is a gift shop available and plenty of staff on hand to offer assistance or questions about the exhibits. The hours are Monday through Saturday 9 am until 5 pm.
For dining options nearby that have been recommended to me by post it note check out Fleet Street Pub in Printers Alley, Stateside Kitchen on 4th Avenue North, and Von Elrod's Beer Hall in Germantown. This is also one of the stops for the Hop On Hop Off Trolly Tours. The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum is definitely one place to add when looking for music history in Nashville, TN. #ridingwithkurt
