Arizona gained statehood in 1912. Over a hundred years later, the state of Arizona offers so much to see. The state offers incredible beauty with the desert along with hiking,  sightseeing,  amazing cities,  wildlife,  culture,  and Native American history.

Just west of Page, Arizona , is an amazing bridge that offers incredible beauty of the desert along with the Colorado River. The Navajo Bridge offers such beauty with being constructed in the late 1920's it allowed travelers in Arizona to cross the Colorado River. Prior to that, the onlt5qay to cross this area was by ferry or by driving 800 miles around the river. The bridge is a contribution to the expansion of the west, and next to the bridge, it offers a visitor center that provides the history of the bridge and the Navajo reservation. Keep your eyes to the sky as California Condor is in the area. These majestic birds fly through the canyon over the Colorado River and perch on the bridge. The bridge is only located 40 minutes west of Page, Arizona. If you travel from the bridge west from there, you'll see the Vermillion Cliffs and the Northern Rim of The Grand Canyon.  For hotels, look at Quality Inn View Lake Powell.  Great hotel with exceptional views of Lake Powell. Very roomy hotel rooms and excellent breakfast to start your day.

This area of Northern Arizona was part of my second post-it note trip. Add the Navajo Bridge on your next journey to Arizona.  You won't be disappointed with the geographic landscapes and history of this area. Add the Navajo Bridge,  Page, Vermillion Cliffs,  and Northern Rim of The Grand Canyon on your next visit to Arizona.  #ridingwithkurt
