Tennessee as a whole offers so many outdoor experiences. If you're an outdoor enthusiasts then look at checking out the various places throughout the state. Just west of the city, about twenty fiveminutes away, is the town of Pegram. If you're a canoe, kayak, or fishing enthusiasts then you might want to make a stop here.

The Harpeth River flows near Pegram, and there are several places for Kayak and Canoe rentals. There is also fishing available along the river. For kayak and canoe rentals, check out Tip A Canoe, Foggy Bottom, Sunshine Adventures, and Broken Paddle. For fishing, you can use both spin and fly rod. For fly-fishing, you'll want to use a popper. For spin fishing, you can use crickets, worm, or artificial bait. There are several river access points, including near Highway 70 in Pegram.

After a day on the river, there are some great dining options nearby. One place to dine at that has been recommended to me by post-it note is Skyking Pizza. This little stop offers some exceptional pizza, which is cooked in a wood fired oven. The service is always fantastic and offers a quaint atmosphere. Goforth is my always go-to with Prosciutto, Pepperoni, House Sausage, Italian Salami, and Fresh Mozzarella.

A stop in Pegram and Kingston Springs will give you appreciation for small town America. Great kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and pizza in this area west of Nashville. Add a stop to this area when visiting Nashville, TN. #ridingwithkurt
