It is New Year's Eve week in Nashville, TN. There is football, marching band competitions, concerts, a note drop, and even a free concert. Here are your happenings for the week her in Nashville, TN.
Starting tonight on Broadway you have Battle of the Bands. This annual event features two marching bands that are in town for the Music City Bowl. The event kicks off at 6:00 pm between University of Tennessee and the University of Illinois. The two bands will provide their fight songs and other great music. The fans will decide who wins with the most cheers will be determine the victor. Plus it is free to attend.
At Nissan on Tuesday at 4:30 pm the University of Illinois will be taking on the University of Tennessee. This is for the Music City Bowl which is an annual bowl game for the Music City. This has become a popular bowl game and if you are looking for a great college football matchup then this will be one to attend. Gates will open up and hour and a half before kickoff. Drop off location can be found at the corner of the Woodland Street Bridge and 1st Avenue North. After the game walk across the Pedestrian Bridge or the Woodland Street Bridge for pick up.
On Tuesday and Wednesday evening at the Ryman there is a incredible artist performing. Old Crow Medicine Show will be performing at the Church. On Tuesday their performance is at 8:00 pm while on Wednesday they will be performing at 9:00 pm. Drop off location can be found at the corner of 4th Avenue North and Commerce Street.
Finally, for New Year's Eve it is the annual Jack Daniel's: Nashville Big Bash at the Bicentennial Mall in the Germantown are of Nashville. This event has a huge lineup this year with Lainey Wilson, Jason Aldean, and Bailey Zimmerman along with some other awesome performances. The experience begins at 5:30 pm with the bigger acts taking the stage at 7:00 pm. The entire event will also be aired on CBS starting at 7:00 pm. The event will conclude with the note drop and fireworks ringing in the New Year. Plus it is completely free to the public.
