On Tuesday and Thursday at the Ryman, there are two experiences. If you've never been to a concert at the Ryman, then this one to add. On Tuesday evening, Bluegrass arrives with Mighty Popular with an amazing performance along with Bronwyn Keith Hynes and Jason Carter. The show begins at 7:30 pm with doors opening up an hour before the show. On Thursday evening, Jazz arrived at the Ryman with Diana Krall performing. The Grammy Award Winning jazz artist will be performing her amazing music. The show begins at 7:30 pm. For drop-off and pick-up locations for the Ryman look s at the corner of 4th and Commerce Street. This will be two incredible nights of Bluegrass and Jazz at the Ryman Auditorium.
At Geodis Park on Wednesday evening, it's a US Open Cup Quarterfinals with Nashville SC hosting DC United. The winner moves on to the semi finals where they will face the winner of New York Red Bulls or Philadelphia Union. The game begins at 8:00 pm with gates opening up an hour and a half before the match. There are drop-off and pick-up locations next to Geodis Park south of the stadium.
Additionally, there are great mid-size venues that offer amazing performances, including the Listening Room Cafe, Blue Bird Cafe, The Basement, The Basement East, Exit In, and Brooklyn Bowl. There are plenty of great artists at all these venues this week. For dining in Nashville that has been recommended to me by post-it notes check out Dough Birds in Green Hills, Butter Milk Ranch in 12th Avenue South, Milk and Honey in The Gulch, Germantown Pub in Germantown, The Gumbo Bros in the Gulch, The Local near West End, The Stillery in Midtown and plenty of other fantastic dining.
