Happenings In Nashville, TN This Week

The weather is heating up here in Nashville, but so are all the experiences. This week, there are events at Geodis, The Ryman, The Schermerhorn, and great dining as well as live music. Here are your happenings for the week in Nashville, TN.

The FIFA World Cup continues this week at Geodis Park. On Tuesday at 2:00 pm, Auckland City fron New Zealand takes on Boca Juniors from Argentina. On Thursday, Al Hilal (from Saudi Arabia) takes on CF Pachuca (from Mexico) at 8:00 pm. The winners move on to the next round. This will be one soccer (football) match you'll not want to miss, especially if you're a fan of the sport. Drop-off and pick-up locations are located on the south side of the stadium.

On Tuesday at the Ryman, the Kitchen Dwellers will be performing at 7:30 pm along with Mountain Grass Unit. This will be a great bluegrass event. On Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm, legendary rock star George Thorogood will be providing his greatest hits with Alastair Greene. Thursday evening at 7:30 pm, Coco Jones will offer an incredible R & B event with Lady London and TA Thomas. Drop-off location can be found on 4th Avenue next to the Ryman.

The Schermerhorn has a couple of great events on Wednesday and Thursday evening. On Wednesday, the Nashville Symphony will perform the music of Whitney Houston in a night of musical tribute to the legendary artists. The show begins at 7:30 pm. On Thursday evening, there is a traditional event with a cocktail competition and a symphony performance. The 7th Annual Spirits of Summer Celestial Symphony will occur. Four featured mixologists from Bar Audrey, The White Limozeen, The Fox Bar and Cocktail Club, and Barrel Proof will offer some of their best cocktails. The spirit competition will be followed by a performance by the Nashville Symphony. The events begin at 6:00 pm, and drop-off location can be found on 4th Avenue South.
