Nashville offers plenty, including some great music museums. If you're looking for some great places to check out that offer history with music, then here are four excellent stops in the downtown Nashville area.

The first is the Country Music Hall of Fame - located on Demonbreun Street between 4th and 5th Avenue. This epic music museum offers everything from the country from the beginnings of the music to where it is today. It even has a vast array of platinum records from all the country stars that are featured at this amazing venue.

The second stop is the Musicians Hall of Fame - located on 4th Avenue North in the Municipal Auditorium. This incredible museum offers a wide variety of musicians from every genre of music. From the Beatles to Red Hot Chili Peppers, you can find some incredible pieces of memorabilia here, including plenty of platinum albums. The tour is self guided and begins with a video to help educate you with the history of music not only in Nashville but also in other great places where music began and transformed music history.

The third stop is the Johnny Cash Museum - Located on 3rd Avenue South. This epic museum offers everything Johnny Cash. If you're a fan of the man in black, then this is a stop for you. Plus of you are hungry and head next door to the Johnny Cash Bar and BBQ.

Finally, for the fourth stop, the National Museum of African American Music - Located in the Fifth and Broadway Building - this museum offers a history of African American music with 50 genres in its 56,000 square foot venue. From jazz, blues, hip hops, and many other styles, this is a great addition to your visit to downtown Nashville. Plenty of great eateries nearby, including Assembly Food Hall, Hattie B's, Sixty Vines, Eddie V's, 1230 Club, Boqueria, and many more.

These are four music museums that should be added to your lists when visiting Nashville. Excellent places with other great stops nearby.
