The other day before I left for Colorado, I provided a ride to an individual who was from Durango, Colorado. We chatted about my upcoming trip, and he provided some restaurants for his hometown on Post-it Notes. Tonight, I stopped by one of the restaurants for a surprising and incredible dining experience.

El Moro is an upscale dining experience in downtown Durango. The food, beverage, wine, and beer menus are all impressive. The menu ranges from appetizers, charcuterie, and entree dishes. I started with a charcuterie plate of their San Danielle Prosciutto and Port Wine Derby. The presentation was absolutely beautiful with the Prosciutto, Derby Cheese, Pickled Red Onions and Jalapeño, Grapes, Jam, Homemade Mustard, and various breads. The immense flavor was delicious with each bite. For the entree, I had their Pan Seared Trout, which paired well with the Ferrari Pinot Grigio. The plate had roasted potatoes, grilled asparagus, crispy leeks, and sauce gribiche topped with the pan Seared Trout. The entire dish was excellent, and the Trout was perfectly seasoned and cooked.

The entire dining experience was amazing. The service was excellent, along with a very cool ambiance. Next time you're in downtown Durango, add El Moro for an awesome eatery experience. #ridingwithkurt
