Yesterday I made it down to an area of Coeur d'Alene that is quite historic. and a part of my post it note journey to this great town. The city itself is absolutely beautiful and sits with surrounding mountains and along Lake Coeur d'Alene there is one historic site that has been there since 1985. It is a popular area that offers great views of the surrounding area.

Along Lake Coeur d'Alene you will the world's largest floating boardwalk. It is called The Boardwalk Marina and offers spectacular lake views and of the mountains. The boardwalk itself is 3,350 feet in length that is 12 feet in width and 10 feet in depth. There is a 60 food bridge that you can walk to the top and along with great photo opportunities. There is also a 362 slip marina for the boating enthusiast. The entire area was built with 28,000 cedar logs from the area, 28,000 pounds of spikes, 8,000 pounds of bolts, 500,000 boards of lumber, and 5 miles of bumper strips.

During the warmer months you can find outdoor dining, boat tours, paddle boarding, kayaking, and even float plane adventures. It sits next to the Coeur, d'Alene resort which offers extravagant dining and stays. The walks though along this historic floating boardwalk are absolutely and breath taking. When looking for amazing views of the lake and surrounding mountains head over to The Boardwalk Marina, where there is parking right to it and will not leave you disappointed when visiting this awesome Idaho town. #ridingwithkurt #postit
