Nashville offers a rich history dating back to the late 1700s. Over the last couple of days, I have shared this history with several individuals that I have provided rides for. One such place that has come up in discussion is located in Belle Meade. The property is known as Cheekwood, and this breathtaking mansion offers so much history.

The mansion was built by the Cheek family, who are the founders of Maxwell House Coffee, and also owned several grocery stores in the Nashville area and the South. Today, you can visit the property that offers the original furniture, collections, art gallery, and a 55-acre botanical garden that is based on the seasons. The beauty and history you'll find at Cheekwood is spectacular and will not leave you disappointed. The property is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. There are several different ticket packages available for the property, but the one that I generally recommend is the Gardens and Mansion package. The tickets are around $28.00, and they offer senior, student, and youth packages as well. This gives you access to the mansion and gardens.

For dining near Cheekwood that has been recommended to me by post it note check out La Peep for a great breakfast and lunch, Sperry's for a incredible steakhouse dining experience that has been around since 1974, The Picnic or a true southern delicatessen, Waldo's for some great chicken, Whitt's BBQ for a great local BBQ especially with their pulled pork, and other fantastic options. For an incredible spa experience near the property, there is the Escape Day Spa. Additionally, there is the Belle Meade Winery and Mansion that offers wine tasting and tours along with great dining with the Belle Meade Meat and Three. You won't go wrong with an experience at Cheekwood and the great options in the Belle Meade Area, which is only twenty minutes from Downtown Nashville. Add a stop to Cheekwood on your next visit to Nashville, TN. #ridingwithkurt
