Carrol's Creek Cafe Annapolis, MD!!!

Annapolis, Maryland is located just forty minutes east of Washington D.C. It is the Capitol of the state of Maryland, home to the Naval Academy, a rich history dating back to the 1700's, and was part of my travels by post-it note yesterday. One individual that I gave a ride to provided me a post-it note recommendation for one of their favorite restaurants in this historic city.

Carrol's Creek Cafe is a beautiful restaurant with amazing views of the Chesapeake Bay. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Their menu has appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, entree dishes, and desserts. They offer an extensive wine lists and full bar. For lunch yesterday I had their Crab Cake Platter which consist of a house made crabcake seared and cooked to perfection served on top of garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed mustard greens, and a mustard vinegretre. The Jumbo Lump Crab Cake was absolutely delicious with large peices of Crab that had a slight sweetness to them indicating the freshness. There was definitely more Crab than the breading mixture. The potatoes and mustard greens were both very good as well. I had the Casalini Pinot Grigio that paired well with the dish. The wine is from Italy and was on the drier side with little hints of fruit.

The service was exceptional and enjoyed the ambiance along with the views. They are open seven days a week starting at 11:30 am for lunch along with dinner being served from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and 9:00 pm on Friday and Saturday.
