Bluefin Grille Providence, RI!!!

After a long day of travel on Amtrak I finally made it Providence, RI last night. Looking forward to some great post-it note stops in the Ocean State. Last night my first stop was to a restaurant located at the Marriott I am staying at. Plus Marriott has been a post it note recommendation from a individual some time ago.

Bluefin Grille is located inside the Marriott Downtown Providence Hotel. They offer an eclectic menu that is reflective of the city of Providence, RI. The menu ranges from appetizers like their Calamari, Shrimp Cocktail, Prince Edward Island Mussles, and other delectable choices for starters. They offer two soup choices with French Onion Soup or Clam Chowder. Salads with three selections of Caesar, Antipasta Style, or a Roasted Peach Harvest Style. They offer a wide range of entree dishes including steak, chicken, and seafood choices. For starters I had their Clam Chowder which is a Rhode Island style that offers more of a broth creamed style with diced Clam , potatoes, and topped with Smokey bacon and parsley. There was a velvety texture from the Chowder, along with smokey hunts from the bacon, and hints of clam from the clam broth. The Clam Chowder was absolutely delicious. For wine pairing I recommend the Backhouse Chardonnay with the hints of fruit it paired well with the Chowder. For my main course I had their Crab Stuffed Shrimp which was excellent. Shrimp stuffed with a Crab Stuffing on top and served on top of a BBQ Hollandaise with rice and sauteed asparagus. The balance of flavor between the Shrimp that were seasoned to perfection, the Crab Stuffing, and the BBQ Hollandaise had exceptional flavor. For wine pairing the Seaglass Pinot Grigio that was on the drier side didn't take away the flavor of the dish.

The service was excellent and the ambiance of the restaurant is a little upscale. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Add a dining experience at the Bluefin Grille at The Marriott Downtown Providence when visiting Providence, RI. #ridingwithkurt #postit #bluefingrille #marriotthotels
