Belle Meade Winery and Mansion Nashville, TN!!!

There is a area of Nashville, TN that offers a mix of history and luxury. It is located just west of the downtown area about twenty minutes away. The area is known as Belle Meade and there is one stop to check out that offers a few great attributes to the history of Nashville, TN. Additionally, this is one place I have featured before for the popularity and they even have a post it note that was provided to me from one the individuals that worked there a couple years ago.

The Belle Meade Winery and Mansion is a amazing and beautiful property. On Saturday I took a couple there that was visiting from Nashville, TN. The Mansion began as a travelers rest and over the time the owner known as John Harding where he purchased the property in 1807. The 250 acre piece of land owned by Harding would also begin with horse breeding with the Thoroughbred Stud. As the owners riches would grow he would begin designing a mansion that would later call Belle Meade. Over time the family would add on to the mansion and eventually the they would become known as the wealthiest landowners in the area. Over the next century the breeding of horses would increase as well as purchasing horses for horse racing. Today the property offers various tours, wine tastings, bourbon tastings, and a restaurant known as Belle Meade Meat and Three. The historic site is absolutely beautiful as you stroll among the big oak trees and historic buildings. The Bonnie's Bourbon and Wine Bar offers tastings for local wine and bourbon along with food pairings. For a southern dining experience head to Belle Meade Meat and Three for some great dishes including Fried Chicken, Meatloaf, BBQ, and other southern classics. There are various packages available for tickets and these can be purchased in advanced (highly recommended) or at the visitor center. There is a excellent gift shop at the visitor center that can add a finish touch to your visit.

The property is open seven days a week from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. The restaurant is open for lunch only from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. The wine tasting is open from 11:00 am till 5:00 pm.
