The history of Nashville can be found all throughout the city. Yesterday, I was reminded about one place that offers a step back in time to view the property. Located in Belle Meade this history stop was recommended to me by post it note some time ago, featured a couple times, and well worth the stop.

Belle Meade Mansion and Winery is located about twenty minutes west of downtown Nashville. It was founded as a traveler's rest and horse farm under the ownership of John Harding in 1806. Over time increase in building activity grew to the eventual mansion that was completed in the mid 1800's. Today you can view, tour, and enjoy everything the site has to offer. It offers a visitor center, gift shop, and restaurant. The restaurant is known as Belle Meade Meat and Three and offers very delicious southern inspired dishes. They also offer a wine and bourbon tasting experience with their certified sommelier. There are various tour and experience packages available. The views of the mansion and site are amazing an will offer you an appreciation for the history of Belle Meade Mansion.

There are several restaurants and other stops in the area of Belle Meade along with Green Hills nearby. Plan on spending at least two to three hours at the property. You won't go wrong with a experience at Belle Meade Mansion and Winery when visiting Nashville, TN. #ridingwithkurt
