Last night I had the privilege to attend a VIP event at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. It was an incredible event that was centered around the shows occurring at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center this weekend. This weekend if you are a fan of Dolly Parton then you will want to attend this experience but also if you can't make it then there was a special announcement made.
The Symphony is offering an amazing performance called Dolly Parton's Threads: My Songs In Symphony. The performance begins with an overture by the Symphony with a video introduction by Dolly Parton herself about the show. In between each musical performance Dolly comes back on to provide a story about the various songs that they perform. There are three female musicians who offer an incredible performance along with the Nashville Symphony. The musicians consists of Katelyn Drye, Hollie Hammel, and Julie Williams that are extremely talented and were on point with every song that Dolly herself had performed. Conductor Enrico Lopez-Yanez leads a talented group of musicians along with the female artists that will get you in high spirit of the performance.
One big thing that will be occurring this summer is beginning on June 16th, 2026 the My Songs In Symphony will be offering a seven week performance throughout the summer. There will be two performances a day with one at 11:00 am and the other at 6:00 pm. Tickets are now available and if you are a fan of Dolly or just want a incredible symphony and musical performance add Dolly Parton's Threads to you calendar. Plus this summer the Dolly Parton Museum and Hotel will be opening up. For dining options near the Schermerhorn that have been recommended to me by post it note check out Etch, Bourbon Steakhouse, and 888. Drop off location can be found on 4th Avenue South next to the venue. It is a great weekend for a celebration of Dolly this weekend and it is a summer for Dolly Parton celebration. #ridingwithkurt
